A picture perfect exhibition in Lucknow

A photography exhibition by Priya Kumar, an officer of the Indian Information Service, was held at Lalit Kala Academy, recently. Every photograph exhibited at the gallery had a caption which defined a story behind the picture.

A total of 80 photographs were on display, depicting different ghats, kids, places and colours. "The photographs that I have clicked are all from my country. Each picture has a moment related to it and contains an emotion which I have tried to capture. Most of my shots are from the Kumbh and I have observed that people are very happy during the time of Kumbh," said Kumar.

The chief guest of the event, Ram Naik, UP Governor, was welcomed by a band of musicians. Priya Kumar accompanied the governor, briefing him about all the photographs captured by her. Lending his support to Priya was husband Anand Kumar, ADG, Law and Order, UP, who looked after the arrangements and also the guests.

Also present at the exhibition was OP Singh, DGP UP along with his wife Neelam, Kaushal Raj Sharma, DM, Lucknow, Awanish Kumar Awasthi with better half Malini, Prabhat Kumar, Rajeev and Meenakshi Krishna and others from the police fraternity.
