Man shot dead near Hogenakkal in Tamil Nadu

DHARMAPURI: A 25-year-old man was shot dead by a four-member gang near Hogenakkal in Dharmapuri district of Tamil Nadu on Wednesday evening. The reason for this murder was not known, police said.
The deceased has been identified as B Munusamy, 25, of Jarugu village near Hogenakkal. He was a coolie.
According to the Hogenakkal police, Munusamy was chatting with a woman -- a relative -- around 4.30pm. “The four-member gang surrounded Munusamy and shot him dead,” a police officer police said.
The woman managed to flee the spot.
The police registered a case. The body was sent for postmortem.
