The Registrar General of Madras High Court issued two different proceedings on Tuesday transferring 82 senior civil judges and 27 district judges across the State. Court officials said it was part of routine shuffling done by the High Court to ensure that judicial officers do not get to work in the same station or court for long.
Prominent among those who had been transferred were G. Ilangovan, Registrar (Judicial) of the Madurai Bench of the High Court. He has been posted as Principal District Judge in Pudukottai. Similarly, the PDJ of Villupuram district B. Sarodjiny Devy had been transferred as Chief Judge of Court of Small Causes in Chennai.
