A man was killed when a compound wall on Goshala Road in Garudacharpalya crashed down on him during the rains in the city on Tuesday night.
The deceased was identified as Shiva Kailash Reddy, 30, an HR professional from Prakasham district, Andhra Pradesh.
He was residing in Doddanekundi. At 7.45 p.m., Mr. Reddy was walking home after work, when the accident occurred. The goshala compound wall – that was 8 ft high and made of hollow cement bricks – came crashing down. Officials said there was mud piled up on the other side of the wall that would have exerted pressure after the rain leading to the wall collapse.
