A 36-year-old YSR Congress party activist S. Dharma Reddy was allegedly assaulted by a group of TDP activists at Allipuram area under teh II Town police station limits on Monday night. The victim who was admitted to King George Hospital (KGH), was said to be stable.
According to the complaint lodged by the victim, he switched loyalty to the YSRCP from the TDP about three months ago following differences with Durga Reddy, a local TDP leader from the 30th ward. Dharma Reddy claimed that he was assaulted by Durga Reddy and four others near Allipuram market, adding that Durga Reddy and his brother Vijay Reddy had been threatening him since the day he joined the YSRCP.
Complaint lodged
Claiming that there was a life threat from Durga Reddy, Dharma Reddy lodged a complaint at II-Town police station and a case has been registered.
