JAIPUR: A recipient of National Child Award 2017, Nishant Abhangi of Kota secured sixth rank in
JEE (Main) result. He also made it into the list of 24 students who secured 100 percentile score. Abhangi is the only student in the country to secure first rank in four national level exams—Indian National Junior Science Olympiad, International Mathematical Olympiad, National Level Science Talent Search Examination and National Science Olympiad.
His dream is to study computer science from IIT-Bombay. He can get in only if his score is under 50 in JEE (Advanced). “I am clear about my aim. I am already in advanced stage of JEE (Advanced) exam preparations,” said Abhangi, who hails from Rajkot.
He confessed that his understanding of computer science subject was limited but expressed confidence in bringing about a major change in the country. “I am all for technological revolution to make life easier and to spread happiness,” said Abhangi, who lives with his mother in Kota since last two years.
“My mother is my strength who is living with me in Kota. She has put in equal hard work; she wakes up earlier than me, is awake till I am studying. How can I forget to mention that home-cooked food always keeps me happy,” said Abhangi.
Attributing his success to Kota city, he said, “Here, I got the conducive environment for studies which brought out the best in me. The overall support and guidance from teachers and cooperation from fellow students gave me the cutting edge which could not have been possible anywhere else in the country”.
Abhangi has been a meritorious student throughout his academics and had scored 10 CGPA in Class X. Since early age he started participating in competitive exams.
