In a match involving four sisters from the Moniz family of Westport, Westport High defeated Diman Regional 5-0 in Mayflower Athletic Conference girls' tennis on Wednesday at the Diane B. Snyder Tennis Complex in Westport.
The second doubles team of Sarah Moniz (8th grade) and Lindsay Moniz (7th grade) won 6-1, 6-3 over Brenda Hickey and Alexis Medeiros.
At first singles, Westport's Annie MacMaster defeated junior Emily Moniz 6-3, 4-6, 10-3 (supertiebreaker), and at second singles, Amber Valcourt defeated Diman senior Audrey Moniz 6-1, 6-2.
Kaelyn Jones won third singles on a medical default after one game. At first doubles, Emily McMahon and Brianna Quinlan defeated Hannah Mello and Kiara Torres 6-0, 6-4.
Westport is 8-2, 4-2 league.
Somerset Berkley Regional 5, Fairhaven 0: At Somerset, the Raiders (6-3) swept this South Coast Conference match, giving Peter Holt, in his 17th season, win No. 200 as Raider head coach.
Jordan Ramos (6-3, 6-0), Catie Ledwidge (6-3, 6-4) and Kaylin Gibbons (6-0, 6-2) won in singles.
In doubles, Isabel Charest/Jessica Salamone won 6-2, 2-6, 10-5 (supertiebreakerr) at No. 1, and Diana Andronic/Karoline Gajewski won 6-2, 6-1 at No. 2.
The Raiders are 6-3.
Durfee 5, Bishop Connolly 0: Adriana Fernandes, Kali Lima and Amaya Travassos all won their singles matches as the Hilltoppers improved to 5-5.
In doubles action Durfee's Catarina Pereira/Allyson Holding and Kyndra Carneiro/Jessy Heneine were both 6-0. 6-0 winners.
Bourne 3, Case 2: Courtney Jacobson and Shaili Ollerhead both won their singles matches for the Cardinals, but it wasn't enough in this SCC match.
Jacobson, at first singles, was a 6-3, 7-6 winner, while Ollerhead, at No. 2, won 6-1, 2-6, 6-3.
