Punish those who cheated on you in the name of tribals; make Congress candidate victorious
Chronicle Reporter, Bhopal, Chief Minister Shri Kamal Nath has said that after the loan waiver, the next target of the Congress government is to give farmers the full price of their produce. He said that farming-cultivation will be made state-of-the-art and basic shortcomings will be removed.
Shri Nath was addressing election meetings in Betul Lok Sabha constituency today. He said that till now the BJP has deceived you for the last several years in the name of tribals. Now you have the opportunity to punish the BJP that has been stripping the rights of an Adivasi, put the stamp on Congress candidate Ramu Tekam and make him win.
During public meetings at Khedi Sanwaligarh, Ratangaon and Khyada of Betul, Shri Nath said that after the withdrawal of Code of Conduct a planned strategy will be adopted to raise the living standards of the farmers.
The Chief Minister said that the promises made in the manifesto are not to show off. He said that this is the government of Kamal Nath which will fulfill it.Referring to loan waiver, he said that we have waived loans of 22 lakh farmers in 75 days. This move of the government will bring a new light in the lives of the farmers.
BJP leaders did not keep their promises
Attacking the 15-year old Shivraj government and 5-year-old Modi government, Chief Minister said that there is only one word for it that is –this is a false government. Its leaders are liars who did not keep their promises.
Kamal Nath said during his recent public addresses, the prime minister was supposed to speak on issues relevant to Madhya Pradesh- development of the state, employment to youth, empowerment of women, emancipation of farmers- but he disappointed once again by indulging in unnecessary rhetoric and making false allegations against the state government.
Nath also disputed BJP’s claims on electricity supply in the state and said Madhya Pradesh has power in surplus and there is no decline in power supply as Modi suggested. Modi had said that the Congress had promised to reduce electricity bills by half but it reduced power supply by half. Nath said the prime minister while making this “false” statement at least conceded that electricity tariff in Madhya Pradesh has been reduced by half.
Referring to income tax raid on some persons close to him, Nath said that the person from whose premises huge cash has been recovered has publicly admitted that he is a BJP man, yet the Prime Minister was sticking to his lie and accusing Congress of corruption.
Nath said BJP should realise that this country was safe and would continue to be safe irrespective of who forms the government at the Centre and moreover, he should not forget that it was the Congress, which kept the country safe for the past 60 years.
