Why so Many People Aren't Sharing Their Feelings

When you’re stressed out, there’s a good chance you’re not reaching out to others who can help.????One in four people don’t feel like they have someone to confide in and what’s worse, is that even after sharing their feelings, 7 in 10 only skimmed the surface instead of spilling their guts to a loved one, friend or co-worker.????Take it from a new survey conducted by OnePoll on behalf of BetterHelp which was all about the ways daily stressors affect mental health.????When folks aren’t talking it out, they’re letting it out in other ways.????Three in 10 tend to cry when stressed and tears flow everywhere.????53% have cried in the car, two in 5 people broke down at a family event, and 34% even shed tears at work.????Many aren’t dealing with stress because they think there’s a stigma surrounding mental health and therapy.????Survey results from BetterHelp showed 3 in 4 Americans feel this way, but on the bright side, 36% said they’d like to try therapy.????But people have a million reasons for not sitting in the chair.????32% said they’re just too busy to try therapy, while just over 25% - or 1 in 4 – said they didn’t think their problems were serious enough to tell a professional.????Something experts can’t stress enough, it’s OK to talk to someone, and could be a game-changer!
