BHOPAL: Amidst the talks of rift, Bhopal Lok Sabha BJP candidate Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur had an emotional meeting with Union minister Uma Bharti which left the Sadhvi in tears. The new development in election arena for the parliamentary seat took place on Monday when BJP candidate reached residence of former CM Uma Bharti.
As Uma greeted Pragya, the latter broke down. Uma, was seen consoling and wiping Pragya’s tears as the latter sat in her car crying, in presence of a large crowd and media personnel. Uma took Pragya inside and welcomed her offering ‘Halwa’. Uma addressed Pragya as ‘Didi Maa’.
The former CM in the recent past gave a statement in which she had termed Pragya as a great saint and herself as an ordinary and foolish creature. The statement was indicative of differences between Uma and Pragya. Uma, giving clarification on her statement after her meeting, said her statement was wrongly interpreted.
The union minister said the question asked from me was about how she sees Sadhvi as a saint. Uma said Sadhvi Pragya was a disciple of Awadheshand Maharaj and former her ‘Akhara’ and is a saint related to tradition of ‘Sanyasin’. Uma said she is a follower of ‘Vaishnav Marg’ under Krishna Panthi Sampradaya and has not formed any Ashram, disciple or follower. Uma said she was very sensitive towards Sadhvi Pragya and would take part in her election campaigning.
