The Motor Vehicles Department Enforcement Wing has booked the luxury bus that was operating illegal stage carrier service from Munnar to Thiruvananthapuram Central and back.
The MVD Enforcement Wing caught the luxury bus at Pathanamthitta after the KSRTC Executive Director, South Zone, petitioned the Transport Commissioner against the illegal service operating ahead of the KSRTC’s Super Fast (SF) service.
The KSRTC Executive Director had pointed out the illegal service was causing revenue loss to the corporation and that the service was operating ahead of the SF service.
The ACs were operated by Anupam Tours and Travels and the service from Munnar was at 7.20 a.m. and from Thiruvananthapuram at 10 p.m. The online booking facility in Red Bus has been removed following the MVD’s action, according to the Deputy Transport Commissioner, Aby John.
