Dhruv Arora of Indore secures AIR-3 in JEE Mains 2019, says national Olympiads helped him score well
Dhruv is also going to represent India in Physics Olympiad which is going to take place in Adelade, Australia from May 5. He is among the top 8 contestants from Asia.
education Updated: Apr 30, 2019 14:07 ISTDhruv Arora from Indore secured third rank in JEE Mains result as announced on Monday by National Testing Agency. Dhruv topped in MP in the JEE Mains in January.
A 17-year-old Dhruv said NCERT books and national Olympiad helped him secure a good rank in JEE Mains.
Dhruv is also going to represent India in Physics Olympiad which is going to take place in Adelade, Australia from May 5. He is among the top 8 contestants from Asia.
Dhruv wants to make a career in the field of research. “Physics is always my favourite subject. I want to be a scientist. After coming back to India, I will start preparation for JEE Advanced because it is necessary to perform well in Advanced too,” he added.
“It is an emotional moment for Dhruv as his mother, whom he lost two years ago, wanted to see him in top 10. We were expecting good rank of him as he studied all the topics thoroughly and cleared all his concept before going ahead” said Sumit Upamanyu, a teacher of Dhruv.
Madhya Pradesh’s two students made it to top 10. MP’s Abhay Pratap Singh Rathore secured 10th rank.
According to information provided by coaching institutes, as many as 50,000 students were selected for JEE advanced.
