Rajasthan Royals won the toss and elected to bowl first against Royal Challengers Bangalore in Match 49 of VIVO IPL 2019 in Bangalore on Tuesday. Both RCB and RR - the sides placed 8th and 7th respectively in the IPL 2019 points table - need to win this match.

However, rain and thunderstorm at the M. Chinnaswamy stadium have not allowed the match to begin. So what happens if the rains continue?
The match could have been played full 20 overs if the game had started on/before 9:15 pm. From here onwards the match will reduce by one over every four minutes.
If it's a wash-out, RCB will be officially knocked out of the tournament.
Unfortunately this doesn't look like a
"Hi Rain..
Bye Rain.."
sort of a moment. #crie#playBold #RCBvRR #VIVOIPL2019

At the stadium, the fans seated in the front ties of the stands can be seen scampering for cover. The front rows inside the press box also had to be vacated and electronic gadgets had to be taken back to a safe zone after water started leaking from the roof's edges that connect the glass walls to the false ceiling.
There was even a short circuit that happened in one of the hospitality stands.
Getting a shortened game is still a possibility with the drainage system at Chinnaswamy being one of the best in India. The SubAir technology does not take more than 20 minutes to get the ground ready once the rain stops.
