First Camp Fire survivors move into tiny homes

County jail.

No one was some camp fire survivors are taking a big step forward in the rebuilding process this morning... cecile juliette joins us live from oroville this morning?

Cecile... these camp fire survivors are going to see their new tiny home for the first time, correct?

It's been 6 weeks since we first told you about alyssa nolan... she's a mom of three with no prior building experience.

She lost her home in the 2008 lightning fires, and said she felt so helpless until the community stepped in and saved her.

When the camp fire left so many people homeless, she took action.

With no prior building experience, she watched some you tube videos and then built this tiny home for a man named luke and his son colton.

They've been living in the torres shelter since the fire.

Life has been tough, but this morning, their luck is turning around.

Coming up in the next half hour..

We're going to take you inside this tiny home, and show you how alyssa custom designed it for them.

And then
