KANPUR: Candidates of political parties performed puja praying for their victory before moving out with tilak on their forhead to cast their vote in the fourth phase of Lok Sabha elections.
Former Union minister and Congress candidate from Kanpur Sriprakash Jaiswal cast his vote at Saraswati Balika Vidya Peeth in Harjinder Nagar while BJP candidate Satyadeo Pachauri voted at Kanpur Public Inter College in M Block in Kakadeo area.

Cabinet minister in Yogi government, Satish Mahana and his spouse also cast their vote at Khalsa Girls Inter Collage in Harjinder Nagar while BJP’s district president Surendra Maithani along with his family cast his vote at Kanpur Public Inter College.
Mayor Pramila Pandey also used her right to franchise.
