Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal and Jannayak Janta Party leader Dushyant Chautala on Tuesday jointly carried out a road show in support of AAP-JJP alliance candidates in Sonepat, Karnal and Kurukshetra Lok Sabha seats.

During the day-long roadshow that started from Kundli border and ended in Kurukshetra, both Kejriwal and Dushyant accused the BJP of damaging social fabric by dividing people on the basis of caste and religion.

They entered city roads in Karnal and made appeals to the electorate to vote for the AAP-JJP candidates in the state. In Sonepat, they sought votes for JJP’s Digvijay Chautala, in Karnal for Krishan Aggarwal of AAP and in Kurukshetra Jai Bhagwan Sharma of the JJP. “I want to ask the people of Haryana did the Khattar government in the state had done anything for you, but to damage the social fabric and dividing people on the basis of caste,” Kejriwal said.

“Jaise hamne Dilli sudhari thi, waise hi milkar Haryana sudharenge (we will improve the condition of Haryana, as we did in Delhi,” the AAP leader said.

“Earlier, you did not have the alternatives and you elected BJP and Congress one after the other, but now you have better option to vote for AAP-JJP alliance,” Kejriwal said.

In Karnal, Kejriwal also accused BJP MP Ashwini Chopra of failing to fulfil the poll promises. Hinting that the AAP and JJP may fight the coming assembly elections in Haryana together, Kejriwal promised that the alliance would give new future to Haryana.

Earlier, Dushyant targeted chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar and former chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda for failure to deliver during their regime. Dushyant also slammed Congress and BJP candidates in Karnal and Kurukshetra seats and said that AAP-JJP candidates are better choice and they will always remain with the people of their constituencies.

Reacting to the allegations, Jawahar Yadav, BJP spokesperson for Haryana, said, “Arvind Kejriwal has used divisive slogans to gain votes in Delhi and Digvijay Chautala’s previous party carried out politics only in the name of caste.”
