GUNTUR: Setting a new record, about 37 students of Vasireddy Venkatadri Institute of Technology (VVIT) have secured jobs in multinational IT firms during the campus selections held last week. Congratulating the successful students, VVIT chairman Vasireddy Vidyasagar has said that focus on making the students all-rounders helped them land in big firms. He said that many of their students have got good packages from the multinational firms.
Vidyasagar said that 85 percent of the IV year students of the college have got campus placement offers and this could be possible only because of the special training programmes conducted by Training and Placement Cell of the college which is resulting in students getting large number of placement offers.
VVIT principal Dr Y Mallikharjuna Reddy said that their students secured placements in multinational institutions IT Trail Blazers of Mumbai and Allsec Technologies Ltd., Chennai. He said that IT Trail Blazer picked up 10 students for a placement in its head quarter in Mumbai.
