A heartbroken rugby league star has revealed he and his partner lost their twin boys just weeks before she was due to give birth.
West Tigers player Josh Reynolds and his partner Bella Thorne announced in a social media video in December last year they were expecting twin boys.
The couple tragically lost both babies just eight weeks before they were due to be born.
Reynolds spoke about his tragic loss for the first time in an emotional interview with 7 News on Tuesday evening.
'It's made me deal with something in life that I never thought I'd have to deal with,' he said.
'I'm not going to lie, I was pretty excited. That was something in life I've always wanted but I've sort of had to go along the lines that everything happens for a reason. It's the saddest thing ever.'

Reynolds said that he and his partner had a nursery set up and had announced their babies' gender during a public stunt last year.
A video posted to his Instagram page showed Reynolds throwing a West Tigers branded rugby ball covered in spikes at a balloon filled with party confetti.
The balloon explodes revealing blue confetti inside.
On Tuesday Reynolds said he wasn't sure how to comfort his partner while he was also in the grips of grief.
'Who do you talk to about that sort of stuff,' he said.
'How do I comfort her when I'm struggling myself and because it is a lot harder for females because they go through it, growing inside them,' he said.
'I was really shocked but I really wanted to be a man and be there for her too.'
Last year Reynolds gave an interview to NRL.com saying he was 'so happy' that he was about to become a dad.

'Our little tribe is going to be together in Sydney and we're going to make it work. That's massive for me that she's willing to come up here and raise the kids,' he said of Bella.
'I don't want them growing up without their dad or someone dropping in every couple of weeks. It's not the person I am. I want to be part of their lives and I can't wait. I want to be a hands on dad. I'm honestly over the moon.
'To have these two kids on the way, it's the proudest moment of my life and I know my life is going to change but I'm so happy and all I want to do is be the best dad I can be and give these two kids the best possible chance in life.'
