Lawyer shot at, bullet hits driver’s seat in Greater Noida

GREATER NOIDA: A family lawyer was shot at by two unidentified men on Monday morning near the district court in Surajpur area of Greater Noida. The victim, Nirdesh Kumar Bhati, a resident of Vidhi Vihar Colony in Sector Pi-1, has alleged that he was on his way to court in his Maruti Swift when two bike-borne assailants shot at him twice. But they missed him and the bullet hit the back of the driver’s seat.
Munish Chauhan, SHO, Surajpur police station told TOI an FIR has been filed under section 307 (attempt to murder) of IPC against two men. “We are looking for a relevant CCTV footage of the crime to track the accused,” Chauhan added.
