If chest pain does not occur due to cardiac issue, it can be due to heartburn, which can cause pain in the centre of the chest sometimes due to gastritis mainly. Heartburn is a symptom of acid reflux and gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). GERD is a condition when acid or bile from the abdomen goes back in the food pipe and irritates the lining.

Low water intake, consumption of high salt and animal protein have been proven to cause urinary stones. Any patient treated for stone disease should have an ultrasound scan at least once in a year to detect formation of new stones. The patients are also advised to modify their diet which includes a high fluid intake around 3 litres/day, consumption of less salt and animal protein. By following proper dietary lifestyle changes and few medications recurrence of stones can significantly be reduced.
