NBA accredits two more courses at MITE, Moodbidri

Representational Image MANGALURU: National Board of Accreditation (NBA) has accredited two more engineering course of Mangalore Institute of Technology and Engineering (MITE), Moodbidri.
Those engineering courses are : The department of Aeronautical Engineering and the department of Civil Engineering. Also, the department of Computer Science and Engineering and department of Mechanical Engineering have already been accredited by NBA in 2018 itself. With this total of four departms of MITE, Moodbidri have been accredited for the Quality Process by NBA. MITE is also accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and certified with ISO 9001:2015 Standards.
Rajesh Chowta chairman of MITE, Moodbidri, said that the accreditation of NBA provides an assurance to all our stake holders about the commitment of insituttion vision and mission in providing quality education. Students studying in NBA accredited Institutions can be assured that they will receive education which is a balance between high academic quality and professional relevance and that the needs of the corporate world are well integrated into programmes, activities and processes. It signifies that student has entered the portals of an Institution, which has the essential and desirable features of quality professional education.
He added that accreditation process has been possible through the multiple Industry linkages like MoU with SIEMENS, through which a Center of Excellence in Digital Design, Validation and Digital Manufacturing has been established, Bosch Rexroth Center of Competence in Automation Technologies, MoU with KPIT on Training and Employment in Automotive Domain, MoU with Carl Zeiss on Industrial Metrology, Advanced Partner Institute with Infosys Campus Connect. Also, to focus on global Education MITE has signed MoU with Major global Universities like Binghamton University, State University of New York, which is one of the highly ranked US Public University, Kumamoto University, Japan, MDIS Singapore and ITE West Singapore. The MoU with Global Universities has enabled MITE in inviting professors from foreign universities and provide certification courses on latest technologies and advanced topics. Also, multiple international conferences and research activities are been undertaken in collaboration with Binghamton University, USA.
The Accreditation process also considers the results and practical outcome of the education. The Accreditation Process considers focus on Entrepreneurship, and Support for Placement as one of the key factor.
In Dakshina Kannada, apart from MITE, Moodbidri, there is only one private engineering has been NBA accredited.
