CHENNAI: Nearly ten lakh candidates in Tamil Nadu who wrote Class X state board exams in March will know their results by 9.30am on Monday.
The students can check their results on the following websites:
www.tnresults.nic.in
www.dge1.tn.nic.in
www.dge2.tn.nic.in
The Directorate of Government Examinations (DGE) will also SMS the results to the candidates.
Students can download the provisional marksheets through their schools from May 2. From May 6, they can download the marksheets on their own by registering their date of birth and registration number.
The candidates can apply for retotalling from May 2 to 4 through their schools. The fee for retotalling for English and language is Rs 305 each and for other subjects it is Rs 205 each.
Students who wrote Class X exams said that the maths was the toughest in recent years. “Most of them were unfamiliar questions and were not asked from any of the previous exams. Some of the questions are also twisted,” a student said.
Despite expectation from a section of teachers, the DGE officials made it clear that no grace marks were awarded to the students.
Teachers said the pass percentage might go down this year.
The DGE will conduct supplementary exam from June 14 to 22 for the students who fail in the board exams.
