Bengaluru: Trio harasses woman in car after party

BENGALURU: Three men have been booked for allegedly sexually harassing a friend in a car in the wee hours of Thursday.
Jeevan Bima Nagar police said the 36-year-old woman attended a party at a pub on Old Airport Road late Wednesday night and it ended around 1am. Her friend Velu promised to drop her at her accommodation in his car and she boarded it. There were two other friends in the car and on the way, the trio allegedly asked her how much she would charge to sleep with them. The shocked woman chided them, leading to altercations.
The woman alleged the suspects pushed her out of the car midway before driving away. Police said the woman rushed to Jeevan Bima Nagar police station at 5am and filed a complaint about the incident. "We've registered a case of sexual harassment under IPC section 354. We are awaiting her statement to know about the trio and will arrest them soon," added police.
