Molly faris - fairpark grill "it was really really busy, it has not stopped.

It's about to pick back up here."

Molly faris, a manager at fairpark grill says they are expecting a big crowd during prime meal times throughout the weekend but this is just the start of the business... "it's just the jump-start to our busy may, there is graduation, their prom, there i just a lot of things to do in tupelo.

So this is just a jump start."

Weekends like this force restaurants to kick it in to high gear "we definitely have to make sure we are fully staffed up, we take time and consideration into our menu, our specials so we have something accommodate our customers."

But restaurants aren't the only businesses taking the heat hotels have had to plan ahead too... sandra stulen - general manager "we just come prepared we make sure we have plenty of associates ready, we have everybody preparing the dining room, the front desk to greet everybody with a warm tupelo welcome."

When i spoke to-local businesses they told me they treat this like a warm-up to some of the bigger events of the spring and summer like the elvis festival and gum-tree festival.
