The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) will issue a new ‘greenish-yellow’ Rs 20 currency note according to a notification given by the Central Bank on April 26. The new Rs 20 note will bear the signature of the Reserve Bank’s governor Shaktikanta Das. On the front, the note will contain a portrait of Mahatma Gandhi at the centre, with micro letters ‘RBI’, ‘BHARAT’(IN Hindi), ‘INDIA’ and ’20’. On the reverse side, the Rs 20 note will feature a motif of Ellora Caves and the ‘Swacch Bharat’ logo with slogan.
