Missing for 5 days, friends found dead

Greater Noida: Two friends, who were reportedly missing for five days, were found dead in a drain near Saraswati Shishu Mandir school on Dadri-Jarcha road on Friday.
The duo has been identified as Vishal (22) and Arun (21), both from Dhameda Adda village in Bulandshahr.
According to police, the two friends had left their homes on April 21, along with one more friend named Shiva to attend a wedding in Dadri’s Shahpur village. But they did not return. The next day, Shiva was found in the village and he told the police that they had met with an accident.

“Shiva has claimed in his statement that they met with an accident the same night they were returning to their village after attending the wedding. He has been admitted to a hospital,” said Neeraj Malik, the SHO of Dadri police station.
On Friday around 8 am, a group of passerbys spotted the bodies of Vishal and Arun lying in a drain along with their Hero Honda motorcycle. “A passerby informed us about the bodies. Soon a police team reached the spot and recovered the bodies and the vehicle. The two were later identified as missing men from Shahpur. Prima facie, their bodies had deteriorated and it seemed like the two had died days ago. We have sent the bodies for autopsy to ascertain the exact cause of their death,” added the SHO.One of the deceased Vishal’s brother Pappu told TOI that the two men were employed in separate private companies in Gurgaon and Bulandshahr. “Vishal was an engineer and worked in Gurgaon while Arun used to work in a private blood bank in Bulandshahr. I suspect that they were murdered by some unknown men. We will file a case of murder after our suspicion gets confirmed by the autopsy reports,” said Pappu. Till now none of the victims’ family members have filed any complaint in the case. The bodies of Vishal and Arun have been sent for autopsy and their families are waiting for the reports to file complaints.
