The Special Task Force (STF) have arrested a 19 year old boy and his female accomplice and recovered 110 gram heroin from their possession from Tajpur road on Friday. Both the accused were drug addicts and use to supply heroin to customers to mint money.

 Following the information from sources, the accused were arrested from Tajpur road when they were on the way to supply heroin on Chetak scooter. The accused has been identified as Mani Singh (19) and Manisha (30). Manisha was member of Orchetra group but now she was involved in drug smuggling.

Incharge of STF, Inspector Harbans Singh said that both the accused were involved in drug smuggling from last three years and use to brought heroin from some person in Phillaur. He said that after taking the police remand they will try to find the supply chain of drug smuggling racket.

Inspector further said that the accused were drug addicts and jobless. To mint money, they involved in drug smuggling.  They will also check the track record of accused, added Singh.
