To provide round-the-clock access to online services of the department

The Delhi Police has opened a facilitation kiosk at Chirag Delhi flyover chowk to provide round-the-clock access to online services of the police department.

Devesh Chandra Srivastava, Joint CP (Southern Range) said that the kiosk will be functioning all the time and from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. it will be managed by four women police personnel working in two shifts. It will be supervised by a technical staff headed by an Additional Sub-Inspector or Sub- Inspectors, who are trained to assist common people in registering first information reports (FIRs) and availing other online services.

“The location of the kiosk will provide assistance to four police stations — GK-I, Hauz Khas, Malviya Nagar and Ambedkar Nagar in terms of registering e-FIR. As it is located near GK metro station, it will easy for metro commuters or any other passer-by to avail the services,” said a senior police officer.

ACP Vijay Singh Chandel, who was present at the kiosk said that they are also planning to station a PCR van near the kiosk to provide security assistance to the staff working at the kiosk.

They are also requesting for the installation of air-conditioner in the kiosk as it is being “tough” for the staff to manage the kiosk with the temperature in the Capital rising.

Other three kiosks
