OPPO has announced a price cut on the OPPO A7 (first impression) smartphone that was launched earlier this year. The handset is now available at a starting price of Rs 12,990, which is Rs 1,000 down from its previous MOP of Rs 13,990, for entry-level 3GB RAM and 64GB built-in storage variant. The slightly higher variant, with 4GB of RAM and 64GB storage, has received Rs 2,000 cut and is now up for grabs at Rs 14,990 instead of Rs 16,990.
The price drop seems to be for the brick-and-mortar stores. In the online market — at the time of writing the article, only the top 4GB RAM variant of the OPPO A7 is available with the new price. Interested buyers can buy the handset in two colour options: Glaring Gold and Glaze Blue.

Just to recall, the OPPO A7 ships with a 6.2-inch HD+ display and waterdrop notch, which is home to the selfie camera. The handset is powered by Snapdragon 450 octa-core chipset clocked at 1.8GHz and paired Adreno 506 GPU. The phone offers a 64GB inbuilt storage, which can be further expandable up to 256GB via microSD card.
In the camera department, the OPPO A7 flaunts a dual-rear camera setup, with 13-megapixel (f/2.2) primary sensor and a 2-megapixel (f/2.4) secondary snapper, accompanied by an LED flash. The front camera bears a 16-megapixel shooter with f/2.0 aperture lens, AI beauty, HDR, and bokeh mode. Other features include 4,230mAh battery, Android 8.1 Oreo-based ColorOS 5.2, and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.
