Richarlison v Lukaku comparison
Romelu Lukaku’s long-awaited return to Goodison Park did not go well for Everton’s all-time leading scorer in the Premier League.
Sent packing by a 4-0 thrashing at the hands of his former club, the Belgian bizarrely appeared to try and shush the home fans as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side were spanked.
Richarlison - who has since been identified as a reported potential target for the Red Devils - set the Blues on their way with a specular opening goal.

Pearce highlights the signing Blues 'must make'
Former England international and Premier League manager Stuart Pearce has highlighted the summer signing he believes Everton must make.
Speaking on Sky Sports’ The Debate, the retired left-back said:
“I think he [Calvert-Lewin] as a young man needs a bit of help. He’s got a big future at Everton but I think they need someone else to lead the line with more experience, potentially.”

Baines asked to stay
Veteran left-back Leighton Baines has been asked by Marco Silva to stay at Everton for another season report the Mirror.
David Maddock writes that along with fellow Goodison stalwart Phil Jagielka, Baines is going to be out of contract in the summer, and many Blues fans expect both to leave the club.
But manager Silva has already spoken with Baines, 34, about next season — he wants to use the former England defender’s experience to help guide the development of his young side.
Silva will also speak to Jagielka, also an ex-Three Lions international, in the next few days to gauge his position as he turns 37 this summer. There could be a contract offer covering the 2019-20 season for both men.
The Everton manager said:
It is not decided yet, of course.
“When we have a decision about that, they will be the first ones to know.
“I already spoke with Leighton, Jags I will do in the next few days or weeks. Leighton knows what is my idea already, the idea of the club also and it is up to us to talk in the next few days and weeks to speak about this situation.
“They have all the respect of ourselves. They are fully focused on what we want in our desire and our goal as a team. They are there, they are there working really hard for us to achieve what we want because it is the most important thing.
“You are talking about our captain, our sub captain they are really important players and they deserve all our respect.”

United consider move for Richarlison
Unlike the rest of the country who were seemingly highlighting how bad Manchester United supposedly were at Goodison Park last Sunday, it seems that some Old Trafford chiefs actually acknowledged that Everton have some talented players.
The Telegraph claim that Richarlison is the latest player to be considered by United as part of a huge summer overhaul of their failing squad.
‘At the wheel’ but trying to steer his under-achieving side back on course, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is understood to want as many as five signings including a versatile forward.
The report says:
England winger Jadon Sancho is already among the targets but there is also believed to have been a discussion over Richarlison who can play in a number of positions across the front-line although he appears most effective out wide.
Everton signed Richarlison on a five-year contract from Watford in a potential £50million deal only last summer. He had moved to Watford from Brazilian club Fluminense for £11.5million in 2017 and clearly if he was to go Everton, who do not want to sell and have not had any approach, would want in excess of the fee they paid for him which started with an initial £35million.
As well as Sancho, who would cost around £100million from Borussia Dortmund, which may prove prohibitive, United have been monitoring Palace full-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka and West Ham midfielder Declan Rice.

Arsenal plan to hijack Gomes move
ESPN are reporting that Arsenal manager Unai Emery is desperate to land Andre Gomes this summer ahead of Everton, where he is on loan from Barcelona.
The report says that Marco Silva is keen to make him a permanent player in his squad but Emery is attempting to muscle in on the deal, which could spark a bidding war.
Barcelona are demanding £26m for the midfielder and Raul Sanllehi, Arsenal director of football and former Barca chief, worked on the deal that brought him to Los Cules back in 2016.
Like Emery, Sanllehi is still a big fan of the 25-year-old and would be open to making a move for the Portugal international.

Silva to make call on Richarlison's fitness for Palace
Richarlison must prove his fitness in Everton’s final training session this morning before the game with Crystal Palace writes Phil Kirkbride.
Marco Silva has described the Brazilian forward as a “big doubt”
Everton’s players will be put through a light, tactical-based session at Finch Farm this morning before they travel to London ahead of tomorrow’s game at Selhurst Park.
due to the rib injury he sustained in the win over Manchester United.
Silva says Richarlison insisted he was pain free when he returned to the club’s training base on Tuesday but it soon became apparent he was still struggling with the problem.
The Blues boss says the 21-year-old is desperate to be passed fit for the game and though they will listen to Richarlison’s “feedback” a decision is to be taken by the medical team before the squad depart for the capital.
