iPhone XI CAD-based renders and 360-degree video reveal triple rear camera module

“The iPhone XI rumours suggest that Apple is not cutting down on the notch”

While the launch of Apple’s next-gen iPhones is still months away, it hasn’t stopped the rumour mill to share what they have got on these smartphones. Leaks have thus far suggested that the upcoming iPhone will come in three models, and one of them is likely to be dubbed as iPhone XI. Apart from this, rumours have been rife that Apple may introduce the handset with triple rear cameras and a notch display. Now, OnLeaks, which has a decent track record with leaks, with CashKaro.com has posted CAD-based renders and a 360-degree video of the iPhone XI — and it looks as ghastly as you would have expected.

Straight off the bat, Apple is not cutting down on notch-display design. The upcoming iPhone XI can be seen with as wide cut-out as its predecessor the iPhone XS. The notch is likely to house usual elements such as Face ID tech, earpiece, and a front camera sensor. The handset is rumoured to come with a 5.8-inch AMOLED display (the same as the iPhone X) with a 19:9 aspect ratio.

The back panel is where things get interesting. The renders reveal that the iPhone XI will feature a noticeable camera bump, which is home to triple sensors, a pretty big LED flash, and a mic hole. The design looks anything but appealing, which is unlike Apple. Therefore, we’d advise you to take it with a pinch of salt.

The phone seems to have a glass sandwich design and is said to measure 143.9 x 71.4 x 7.8 mm. A redesigned mute switch button will be placed on the left spine along with volume rocker, while the power button has been suggested to find its spot on the right. The speaker grill can be seen at its usual position and there’s no trace of a USB Type-C charger at the bottom. The handset still seems to have a lightning port that would double up as charging and audio jack.
