Google is no stranger to Easter eggs. It has included a few cool hidden tricks in the Google search engine that make the mundane task of searching things more fun. Type in ‘do a barrel roll’ and you get to see the entire web page flipping in 360-degrees. Search ‘askew’ and you're greeted with a slanted web layout. You get the point.
Google has now included another Easter egg to sail along with the Avengers: Endgame buzz. It requires you to search ‘Thanos’ on Google and then click on the clickable Infinity Stone-studded gauntlet. You will then see search results being wiped out with ‘snap of a finger’. To undo his destruction, simply click on the gauntlet again.
The search results counter below the search bar also goes down, displaying a number that is about half the original number.
The Thanos Easter egg works on browsers including Google Chrome on both, its desktop and mobile versions.
This comes at a time when the hype around the movie is at its peak. According to trade website Box Office India, Avengers: Endgame sold 500,000 tickets in a matter of hours, beating last year’s biggest Hindi opener Thugs of Hindostan that had sold 200,000 tickets.
