Winter is about to hit Sydney with temperatures plummeting to 11C on Friday night.
A cold front from the Southern Ocean will see the mercury drop by 16C in 12 hours.
It will bring westerly winds of 30km/h although no rain is forecast until late next week.
Meanwhile, Melbourne is set for some wet and chilly weather too, with rain on Saturday and the temperature hitting a cool 9C that night.

A BoM forecaster told Daily Mail Australia: 'This weekend may be considered the start of winter in Sydney.
'A cold front from the southern ocean will arrive bringing strong winds, especially in coastal waters.
'As the front moves through, there will be about a 10C temperature drop. Friday's maximum is 28C but Saturday's is only 18C.'
'This is the start of the chilly season and we'll see some dryer, colder weather.'
The temperature in Sydney will pick up again next week, with forecasters predicting 26C by Wednesday.

This weekend, Hobart will be 15C and rainy with some sun on Sunday.
Canberra is 17C on Friday, 16C Saturday and 19C and sunny on Sunday - although will get down to 2C at night.
Adelaide will be around 18C and sunny with some clouds.
Some parts of Australia will not be seeing such chillier temperatures, however.
Perth is set to bask in 29C heat with sunshine over the next three days.
Meanwhile, Brisbane will stay at 26C for the next three days while Darwin will be 34C.
