Share market update: PSU Bank shares mixed; SBI, BoB among top gainers
The Nifty PSU Bank index was trading 0.36 per cent up at 3131.05 around 09:56 am.
NEW DELHI: Shares of PSU banks were trading mixed in Friday's morning session.
Shares of State Bank of India (up 0.56 per cent), Central Bank of India (up 0.30 per cent), Bank of Baroda (up 0.25 per cent) and Punjab National Bank (up 0.17 per cent) were the top performers in the index.
Indian Bank (down 0.55 per cent), Syndicate Bank (down 0.51 per cent), Allahabad Bank (down 0.50 per cent) and Bank of India (down 0.11 per cent) were trading lower.
The Nifty PSU Bank index was trading 0.36 per cent up at 3131.05 around 09:56 am.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 42.35 points at 11,684.15 while the BSE Sensex was up 113.39 points at 38,844.25.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 31 were trading in the green, while 19 were in the red.
Shares of Tata Steel, YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, Tata Motors, Axis Bank, SAIL, DLF, Ashok Leyland, Indian Oil Corp, Bharti Infratel, Vedanta and Bank of Baroda were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
