Househelps shoot obscene videos of employers

Vadodara: Two househelps hired by a well-to-do family were caught by detection of crime branch (DCB) for shooting obscene videos of their employers in the city. Police, however, didn’t register any case as the family refused to file a complaint. Both the accused are minors.
According to the police, the accused duo was hired by the Gujarati family last year as one of their married daughters, 29-year-old Karishma (name changed) had come home for her delivery. But they were relieved of their jobs three months ago following which they left Gujarat. Some days ago, one of the women got a video on her phone. When she opened it, she was shocked as it was her video when she was bathing.
She immediately told her mother who then alerted the woman’s father. “The family approached us following which we traced the number. We found out that the 17-year-old boy, who had sent the video, was working in a bungalow in Mumbai,” Jadeja told TOI. The cops then tracked down his accomplice in Nagpur. When the duo was questioned, they admitted to have shot the video.

“About three months ago, the family had gone to Goa for vacations and they took the house helps along. They kept their phones in the bathroom of the hotel room and shot the woman and her younger sister while bathing,” Jadeja added. When asked about the reason behind shooting and sending the video, one of them said that he was in need of money as there was a marriage in his family. He had planned to extort money from the wealthy family by blackmailing them.
The police deleted all the videos from their mobile phones after ensuring that they hadn’t sent them to anyone else. “People should verify complete background before hiring any house help. Also, ensure that they don’t use mobile phone freely anywhere in the house,” Jadeja said.
