VADODARA: A resident of
Jaspur village of Padra taluka jumped into a 100 feet deep well on Wednesday morning. The man identified as Vikram Vaghela was rescued after an hour by firefighters of Vadodara Fire and Emergency Services.
Vaghela, who is reportedly mentally ill lives in Haripura locality of village.
Villagers who were present near the well were in a state of shock for a while. However, some of them informed the sarpanch Yogendrasinh Vaghela who called up Padra police and Vadodara fire brigade to rescue Vaghela.
A team of six firemen from Vadiwadi fire station was dispatched to Jaspur. Two firemen went down in the well using a rope ladder and brought him out. He was then rushed to a hospital for treatment. Fire officials said that the well was around 100 feet deep.
