Indore: ‘Saints, sadhvis in BJP are hypocrites’

Senior Congress leader and PWD minister Sajjan Singh Verma on Wednesday said all saints and sadhvis in Bhartiya Janta Party are ‘pakhandis’ (hypocrites). Talking to media on sidelines of inauguration of Congress election office here on Wednesday, Verma said, “People in BJP do anything under saffron garb. Sadhvi Pragya had said that she had cursed our brave officer late Hemant Karkare.

Cursing is not what saints and sadhvis do. They wish well for everyone.” Verma also commented over Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s non-political interview to Bollywood action Akshay Kumar and said, “They are doing all political things in name of being non-political.

Why didn’t he give non-political interview earlier and is giving at time of elections?” Verma also took a jibe at national BJP general secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya’s invitation to Modi for contesting election from West Bengal and said he couldn’t get ticket for himself and now inviting others. Other BJP leaders also talked to mediapersons on the occasion. Excerpts of their comments:

People are frustrated with BJP: Bachchan Home minister
Bala Bachchan said people are frustrated with BJP and are not in a mood to bring it back. To a query on Jai Adiwasi Yuwa Shakti’s (JAYS), he said, “Congress will win all seats in tribal areas including Khargone, Khandwa, Dhar, Barwani. JAYS is no challenge for us.” He said continuous electricity cut was a conspiracy by some officials.

No dispute among us: Silawat
State minister Tulsi Silawat said there is no dispute between Sanjay Shukla and Pankaj Sanghvi.“We are a big family and such small incidents take place in every family. Sanjay is MLA and he will ensure Sanghvi’s win as well,” he said.Silawat also said Sumitra Mahajan adopted a village but nothing has changed there. “BJP and Mahajan did nothing for city in last many years,” he remarked.

Shah is jumla party leader: Patwari
Sports and youth welfare minister Jitu Patwari targeted BJP president Amit Shah and said he is the leader of jumla party (slogan raising party). “BJP did nothing in last five years and it is biggest question people are asking them. People will dethrone them this time,” Patwari added.
