Man gets 5-year RI for snatching gold chain

AMBALA: Ambala district sessions judge Vikram Aggarwal on Wednesday sentenced one Nitin alias Kaku to five years of rigorous imprisonment in a snatching case and also imposed a fine of Rs 25,000.
The accused is a resident Dera Bhagirath in Shamli district of Uttar Pradesh.

On October 12, 2016, on the complaint of Bhavika Gupta, a case was registered against Nitin under Section 379B (punishment for snatching) of the IPC at Ambala Sadar police station.
Bhavika alleged that the accused forcibly snatched a gold chain from her possession and she also sustained injuries. Bhavika was parking her two-wheeler, when two motorcycle-borne youths snatched the gold chain from her from outside her work place on October 12, 2016, around 2pm.
