If you're one of those people who looked at the runtime for Quentin Tarantino's The Hateful Eight, thought, "I can't sit through a three-hour movie in a theater," and decided to wait until it hit a streaming service, good news! As of Thursday, Tarantino's latest film is now on Netflix for your viewing pleasure -- but there's a twist. Not only can you watch the theatrical version of the movie, but there's also an extended version in the form of a four-part miniseries, with the film divided into four episodes that clock in at around 50 minutes each.
The miniseries, labeled as The Hateful Eight: Extended Edition, includes the following episodes: "Last Stage to Red Rock," "Minnie's Haberdashery," "Domergue's Got a Secret," and "The Last Chapter." The theatrical release was already divided into six separate chapters, but now those have been condensed a little bit and rearranged for the above four.
The episodes together have nearly 45 minutes more footage than the theatrical version, truly making it an extended cut, though some additional scenes -- roughly an extra 20 minutes -- originally played during the theatrical Roadshow release. This is the first time this entire version of the film has become available.
