By “boycotting” roadshows and public events related to the nomination procedure of his own party’s candidates for the Lok Sabha election, Aam Aadmi Party convener Arvind Kejriwal has already admitted defeat, the Delhi BJP said on Wednesday.
Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari added that Mr. Kejriwal was “ready to campaign for the Tukde-Tukde Gang” but not his own.
“The reason is that due to the announcement of strong candidates by the BJP, Mr. Kejriwal is demoralised and is contesting the election secretly in alliance with the Congress. The voters of Delhi know this fact very well,” Mr. Tiwari said.
“By deciding not to campaign for AAP candidates, Mr. Kejriwal has proved that there is some understanding between him and the Congress... he has already become the enemy of the voters of Delhi because he has not implemented about half- a-dozen welfare schemes of the Centre,” he said.
In contrast, the Delhi BJP president argued, roadshows by the BJP drew “massive” crowds illustrating that the people of the country as well as the Capital had “full trust” in Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
“In the roadshows of the Delhi BJP candidates there was massive participation of workers and people from the areas. It shows that on May 12, the people of Delhi will vote for the BJP and help in winning all the seven seats of Delhi to make Mr. Modi the Prime Minister again,” he added.
