21 cops from the city to receive DG Insignia

PUNE: A total of 21 jubilant cops from Pune city and Pune rural police will get the ‘DG Insignia’ for their outstanding service. The award was announced on Tuesday for 800 police officers and personnel across the State. 

The medals will be given on the occasion of ‘Maharashtra Day’, on May 1. The DG Insignia is awarded to policemen for contributing to the force for more than 15 years with clean records. 

The names of the awardees from Pune City Police are Sunil Tambe (Police Inspector), Abhijit More (Sub-Inspector), Santaram Gaikwad (Sub-Inspector), Ramesh Bhosale (ASI), Avinash Shinde (ASI), Ramesh Ghode (ASI), Vinayak Pathak (Head Constable), Santosh Jagtap (Head Constable), Gaurishankar Kulkarni (Constable), Vinod Bhandalkar (Constable), Kishor Kumbhar (Police Naik), Babasaheb Karpe (Police Naik) and Ravindra Jagtap (Constable).

Those from Pune rural police include Gajanan Tompe (Deputy Superintendent of Police), Deepali Khanna (Deputy Superintendent of Police), Sunil Bandal (ASI), Dayanand Liman (Head Constable), Moreshwar Inamdar (Head Constable), Sunil Jawale (Head Constable), Sachin Ghadge (Police Naik) and Mahesh Mate (Police Naik).
