PALANPUR: Four police personnel were injured after
Gujarat chief minister Vijay Rupani's convoy met with an accident near Khedbrahma town in
Sabarkantha district on Thursday morning.
A police vehicle that was part of the CM’s covoy rammed into a private car after hitting a pig that had suddenly appeared on the road. Those injured include deputy SP BC Barot, inspector VR Chavda, sub-inspector SN Parmar and driver Vishwanath Singh. The CM’s vehicle was not involved in the accident, police said.
The accident took place between Agiya and Metoda village of Khedbrahma when the CM was returning after offering prayers at Ambaji Temple early Thursday morning.
All the injured cops were administered first aid at Khedbrahma primary health centre and later were shifted to a private hospital orthopedic hospital in district headquarter Himmatnagar. "The condition of all the injured cops is stable," said Sabarkantha superintendent of police Dineshsinh Chauhan.
