Hyderabad: Man caught carrying knife at Nampally court

HYDERABAD: A 19-year-old person who was involved in three cases in the city was caught by Nampally police for entering the Nampally criminal court complex carrying a butter knife in his pocket.

The accused, Mohammed Moinuddin, a resident of BS Maqta in Begumpet on Wednesday was caught after cops found a knife inside his pocket when he went through the door frame and hand-held metal detectors at the entrance of the court.
According to police, Moinuddin is said to have carried the knife claiming that he was facing threat and it was for his own safety. He was detained and booked under the Arms Act, said an officer.
