Kids across Wisconsin will get a taste of the 'real world' Thursday

Kids across wisconsin will get a taste of the "real world" today it's national "take our sons and daughters to work day!"

The event was initially just open to girls when it first started in 1992.

Now... it's expanded to all kids... with three-and-a-half million workplaces participating.

Christina lorey joins us from one of them this morning--- baker tilly on madison's east side.

Leah and dannika... and are back with us this morning on take your kid to work day... and since i don't have kids of my own... i thought i'd borrow them this morning and give them my mic, too.

They're going to tell us why they're excited to go to work with mom and dad today.

At this year's "take your kids to work day" here at baker tilly... these kids will not only learn some math skills accountants use... but they're learn why it's important to save money.

Organizers are also planning lessons about recycling and conservation since earth day was this week!

Thanks christina.
