Vadodara: The city will get its first sculpture made by children within a month. On Thursday, the foundation stone was laid for the project which will be undertaken by a group of 35 children who have already begun working on the cement artwork. It will be installed on the crossroad near the Sayajigunj underpass. Rakesh Rana, a well-known sculptor will guide the children in making the sculpture that will be about 15 to 20 feet tall.
“Vadodara is the hub of art. Even the children here can make some beautiful artworks and we just wanted them to display their talent. The children will work in the morning between 7.30 and 10.30 am and between 5 pm and 7 pm everyday in the evening to prepare the artwork. The artwork will be dedicated to the brave martyrs of our defence forces,” said Hitesh Rana of Sarjan Art Gallery.
