Toyota Mark X Final Edition Is The End Of The Road For Iconic JDM Sports Sedan

The Mark X has been around for over 50 years since it made its debut as the Mark II. However, production is scheduled to end in December and Toyota is sending off its domestic market sports sedan with a Final Edition of the 250S and 250S Four that are launching today.

The Mark II was first introduced back in 1968 and was later known in North America as the Corona Mark II, which was renamed the Cressida in 1977 and spawned nine different generations up until the sedan version was discontinued in 2004.

That’s when the Mark X took over, as two different generations were built – the latest one receiving multiple updates from 2009 until now.

The Mark X Final Edition comes loaded with exterior and interior features that set it apart from the rest of the range. On the outside, it has 18-inch dual-spoke alloy wheels and a custom front bumper, while customers can choose between the following three colors for the body: White Pearl Crystal Shine, Silver Metallic and Precious Black Pearl.

Inside, there is a dual-tone black and red synthetic leather upholstery for the seats and the door panels, while red contrast stitching can be found on the four-spoke steering wheel, gear lever shroud, doors, seat bolsters and armrest.

Last, but definitely not least, the special edition Mark X comes with Toyota’s Intelligent Clearance Sonar with Rear Cross Traffic Alert safety tech as standard.
