Farmer stabbed to death in Lathi village

RAJKOT: A farmer was stabbed to death by an unidentified assailant in Pipadava village of Lathi taluka in Amreli district on Tuesday night. The victim, Keshav Pokia (50), succumbed to injuries at a hospital in Rajkot on Wednesday.

According to police, Pokia was asleep in the courtyard of his house when he was stabbed. When Pokia cried with pain, his nephew Manish rushed to the spot. But, the attacker had fled. Pokia told Manish he couldn’t identify the attacker as his face was covered.
“We are going to record the statements of Pokia’s family members, relatives and other villagers to find out the suspect and whether he had any enmity with anyone,” said a Lathi police official.
