Lynk & Co Cyan Racing Launches 12-Episode WTCR Documentary

Lynk & Co Cyan Racing has just dropped the first of 12 episodes from their new WTCR documentary, offering a behind the scenes look at the Chinese team throughout 2019, as they seek their first world title.

The series is called ‘Challenge the world’ and is set to run from April until December. The opening episode, which you can view below, features the very first race of the year on the narrow streets of Marrakech, Morocco, where the Lynk & Co 03 TCR ruled supreme.

The 03 TCR was built by Geely Motorsport and is the result of a partnership with Cyan Racing, which ran Volvo’s title-winning 2017 WTCC (World Touring Car Championship) program.

“To once again aim for the World Title when starting my seventh season with Cyan Racing is a dream come true,” stated Swede racing driver Thed Bjork back in October. As it so happens, he crossed the finish line first in Marrakech two weeks ago, winning the first official race of 2019.

The 2019 FIA WTCR Calendar is spread across 10 races, between April 7th and December 15th. The final race of the year will take place in Sepang, Malaysia, while next up we have the Hungaroring in Hungary on April 28th, this upcoming weekend.

While ‘Challenge the World’ is clearly not on the same budget level as Formula 1’s critically-acclaimed Drive to Survive documentary (on Netflix), it still provides new insight into the world of WTCC (World Touring Car Cup) and Cyan Racing.
