Chandigarh: Wanted criminal carrying a reward of Rs one lakh nabbed in Jhajjar

CHANDIGARH: In a major breakthrough, a team of Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) of Haryana Police on Thursday arrested most wanted criminal Sachin alias Painda, carrying a reward of Rs one lakh, from Sadar police station area Bahadurgarh in Jhajjar in Haryana.
Police department officials said that they have also recovered a country-made 315 bore pistol and a live cartridge from his possession.
Arrested accused Sachin alias Painda, a resident of village Mehndipur Dabodha in Jhajjar, was key accused in killing of a former sarpanch of village Dabodha Kalan on March 28, 2019. He was absconding after committed the crime.
Police have announced Rs one lakh for any information leading to his arrest. At least five cases pertaining to heinous crimes registered at different police stations were unearthed with his arrest.
Divulging the details, he said that a team of CIA in Jhajjar has got secret information that a most wanted criminal carrying illegal weapon stands beneath Kundli-Manesar-Palwal Expressway Bridge in Bahadurgarh police station area with an intention to perform a criminal offence. Acting swiftly, the police team immediately rushed the spot and nabbed the accused along with illegal weapon.

During the interrogation the accused disclosed his identity and confessed to his involvement in killing of Satbir Singh, a former sarpanch of village Dabodha Kalan. Police had announced a reward of Rs one lakh on his arrest.
A case under the provisions of Arms Act was registered against him at Sadar Police Station, Bahadurgarh. He was produced before the court, which sent him to four-day police remand.
