AU begins online recruitment for 550 teaching vacancies

Allahabad: Allahabad University (AU) has started with the online recruitment process for hiring 550 teachers for its 47 departments. This time, the university will be reserving 10% of the posts as part of the quoat for economically weaker section (EWS) scheme.
The last date for filling up the application forms is May 20.
Of the 550 posts, AU has reserved 32 for EWS applicants. The reservation will be offered only for the post of assistant professor.
The 550 new teachers would be hired for 47 departments. AU plans to hire 327 assistant professors, 157 associate professors and 66 professors.
The university had advertised for the vacancies in the first week of March.
“Applicants will have to register themselves online by May 20. The last date for paying the fee and submitting the final application is May 22,” said AU public relation officer Chitranjan Kumar.
